Indigo Dying

 by Susan Wittig Albert

Well, here we are at Book 11 in the China Bayles mystery series.  Our heroine and her best friend, Ruby, are out of town for what should be a fun filled weekend.  Rugged leading man, McQuaid, comes, too, and brings his son along so they can enjoy a little camping and fishing at a nearby beautiful pond.  China is collaborating with a friend from college at an herbal workshop.  The small town of Indigo is also hosting an outdoor arts and crafts fair.  China and Ruby will be sharing a booth selling items from their Pecan Springs shops.  The charming community has an entertaining evening planned, too!  They are presenting a locally written and produced play, "Indigo Blues".

When the town bully dies of an apparent gunshot wound right after the play's final curtain, the entire crowd breathes a sigh of relief and some even rejoice.  Our Mystery Machine team will need to interview every single citizen of Indigo to get to the bottom of this murder.  Once again, I

Could.  Not.  Put.  It.  Down.
