Campanula

Don't these blooms look like fairy trumpets?

The white blossoms in the background are from my Mock Orange Bush.  Campanula will freely re seed itself.  Mine has become a lovely, large drift.  It is frequently divided and shared with friends.

I recently swapped some of these, along with Solomon's Seal, Joe Pye Weed, Lemon Balm and a Buckeye Tree for Poppy Seeds, Red Cypress Vine, Purple Hyacinth Beans, Four O'clock Seeds, and two Corkscrew Willow cuttings!  'Exciting news!  The willows already have roots!  Also, both vines are already climbing a fence.  The beds where the poppies and four o'clocks were planted are checked frequently.  I'm still hopeful they will emerge.

'Such a beautiful mauve in the sunshine!
