The Housemaid Book Series

I'm horribly behind writing book reviews.  The Housemaid was read for a book club way back in September.  It must have been read in August.  I had knocked out all three in the series before the discussion, making it difficult to remember which plot was in which book!  Who wants to be the person to spoil an entire series at a book club meeting?  Not me!  I'll be telling what I think of these three books without giving away any story lines.


The Housemaid.  The first one's plot twist.  WOW!  I did not see that coming.  Surprises are great!  

Then the second book, The Housemaid's Secret was kind of "meh", but you need it to understand the third one.  

The Housemaid is Watching was my favorite.  A couple of things come full circle.  

I'm really hoping there's a fourth book because this author has left an unresolved issue that is bugging me.  I love it when books surprise me and these certainly did!

Have you ever been enjoying a nice, quiet day of crafting, then BAM your jar of ModPodge falls off the table, splatters across the floor, and onto one of your favorite toss blankets?  Well, that happened to me right in the middle of this project.  Talk about a big, sticky mess!  Not to worry, though.  We have hardwood floors.  First, a dish towel was used to mop up most of the glops.  I had the thought to use rug cleaner on the afghan and also sprayed foam across the glue swirls on my floor.  The toss blanket made a round in my washing machine and came out unscathed.  A quick wet mop restored my hardwood floors.  Now, back to my nice quiet day of crafting.

Cultivating Autumn Arrangements

This project has already failed twice.  TWICE!   Originally, I wanted to create a sustainable gazing ball that could be used for many seasons.  A beautiful glass gazing ball has been purchased for my garden every year and every year something happens to break it.  There has to be a better way!
