New Christmas Traditions 2025
Our afternoon began with Opera in the Ozarks' Christmas program. 'Very family friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed it!
Next, we drove to Downtown Eureka Springs for their Christmas themed Living Window Competition. I'm not sure how the judging worked, but most of the "mannequins" were interacting with the crowd! We assumed there was some sort of popular vote.
This Santa understood the assignment! He was so funny, pointing out visitors who just might be on his Naughty List!
We loved this simple yet effective angel. She was smiling and waving to everyone.
An interpretation of American Gothic was my favorite. The couple did their best to hold still.
Difficult to photograph, as we stayed inside the warmth of our car. Lots of pedestrians were gathered in front of some of the windows. One even held a gorgeous ballerina performing! Another favorite had Ebenezor Scrooge in front of a fireplace with the Ghost of Christmas Past in spooky chains. A woman in a rocking chair reading a book to her teddy bear made for a really sweet display at a bookstore.
All the creative windows brought smiles and laughter!
By then, we had worked up an appetite, so it was off to Sparky's for dinner.
What are your new Christmas traditions this year?
