Dried and Pressed Florals Workshop

How pretty are these pressed flowers?!

This Fall one of my friends from high school invited me to join her for an amazing class, making arrangements with dried or pressed flowers.  The options were to either create a bouquet with dried florals or create a frame of pressed ones.  We both chose the lovely glass frames.

Our instructor had these amazing examples for us to consider.

The monogram made us swoon!  Isn't that a great idea?!

We had a wonderful time, using the tiniest drops of glue to attach our selections.  I chose mostly celosia, snapdragons and cosmos.  The name of the small white flowers has been forgotten.  If you know what it is, please drop that info in the comments!

Difficult to photograph at the workshop, but we were thrilled with our finished pieces.  Returning home, I snipped MANY stems around my garden and have them pressing between stacks of books.  This will definitely be attempted again on my own.

After class, we shopped around our hometown and went for lunch.  It was a lovely day with a dear friend.
