Life of Pi
by Yann Martel
An adolescent's family and their remaining zoo animals are crossing the ocean to begin a new life in Canada.
I love reading and my Master Plan for 2024 has a goal specifically about books. Life of Pi, a story of ocean survival, I was surprised how much I did not like this book. It took me forever to read it.
For. Eh. Ver.
This book might be one where the movie was better, and I hardly EVER say that!
What have you been reading?
Interesting. I read this over 10 years ago and although I found it a bit odd in a few places overall I liked it. There was one line that I loved so much I made a note of it, I think it was quite early on in the book, when they were talking about faith and agnostics: "To choose doubt as a philosophy of life is akin to choosing immobility as a means of transport" and I really liked that!
ReplyDeleteI tend to only read on holiday though, when I fly through books pretty quickly as I sit by the pool. When a book drags on it kind of sucks all the fun out of it doesn't it?
